MCC will begin the NEET PG 2022 Seat Allotment process on September 26. Registration for NEET PG 2022 counselling has begun online. The registration deadline for round one counselling is September 23. The selection period for round one of counselling will run from September 20 to September 25. On September 28, the seat allocation result for round one counselling will be released. Only those who passed the NEET PG 2022 with a minimum cut off percentile will be eligible to attend the counselling. On June 1, the NBE released the results of the written exam.

NEET PG 2022 Seat Allotment

The National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Post-Graduation (NEET PG) is held to admit students to different MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), and PG Diploma programmes around the nation. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) gives the exam once a year in computer-based mode. Additionally, the scores are used to determine admission to postgraduate MBBS DNB programmes. 10,821 MS seats, 9,953 MD seats, and 1,979 PG Diploma seats are up for grabs in the exam, which is held for various medical institutes in India.

September 20, 2022, the Medical Counseling Committee, MCC, will start the NEET PG 2022 Counseling Choice filling process, aspirants who have registered for the NEET PG Counseling process can submit their options on the official website, mcc.nic.in. The following Institutions/Universities will receive counselling from MCC.

  • 50% of all state seats under the All India Quota (participation of the Union Territory of J&K is subject to their contribution of seats).
  • Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, and Central Institutes are eligible for 100% of the seats (All India Quota seats plus Institutional Quota seats), subject to the eligibility requirements outlined in Important Questions related to Scheme of Counselling, which have been duly uploaded on the MCC website.
  • Seats at Deemed Universities are 100%.
  • 50% of college graduate seats are covered by Employee State Insurance Corporation (wards of ESIC insured persons).
  • The Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions’ whole P.G. seats (only Registration part).
  • ABVIMS & RML Hospital, Central Institutes, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, ESIC Institute, PGIMSR, Basaidarapur, and 50% All India Quota and 50% I.P University Seats).

Step 1: Finish the NEET PG 2022 registration by providing all the necessary information.

NEET 2022 PG Seat Allotment Procedure

Following the conclusion of the registration procedure for round one of NEET PG counselling, the DGHS will process the seat assignments. NEET PG seats will be distributed for 2022 depending on the 

  • NEET PG score,
  • the number of candidates for colleges and courses,
  • the number of available seats,
  • the conditions of reservations,
  • and more factors.

  1. Free exit: If a candidate does not arrive at the designated institute by the deadline, their seat from the first round of MCC NEET PG counselling will be cancelled. 
  2. Accepting the seat allotted in round one: If a candidate who received a seat in the first round of NEET PG 2022 counselling is happy with the seat they were given, they can report to the institute to which they were assigned and reserve their seat by paying the tuition.
  3. Upgradation in round 2: Candidates may choose to upgrade and take part in the second round of NEET PG counselling in 2022 if they are dissatisfied with the seat that has been assigned to them. The seat assigned to the candidate in NEET PG counselling round one shall be kept if it is not upgraded during the second round.
