IBPS RRB 2022 (CRP RRBs XI) exam openings and a PDF of the IBPS RRB announcement were released on June 6, 2022. The original number of openings advertised in the IBPS RRB notification 2022 for positions like RRB Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I, II, and III was 8106, but this number has since been increased to reflect the new, higher demand.
IBPS RRB Selection Process
The IBPS RRB Selection Process is divided into three stages, which are explained below:
IBPS Preliminary Exam
- Just before the Main Examination, a preliminary examination is going to be held. This exam is for the Office Assistant and Office cadre I positions.
- Candidates will be given 45 minutes to answer 80 questions for 80 points. For the Officer Scale I, there will be 40 questions from Reasoning (common to both postings), 40 questions from Quantitative Aptitude, and 40 questions from Numerical Ability.
IBPS RRB Mains Exam
- It is a 200-point exam with five components (English/Hindi, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Financial Knowledge, Computer Knowledge, and Professional Knowledge) depending on the position for which a candidate is applying. To improve their exam scores, hopefuls should review the preparation advice.
- The equi-percentile approach will be used to standardise the corrected scores acquired by each candidate in different sessions (if held).
- Calculations will be based on scores up to two decimal points.
- Candidates are selected for interviews based on their performance in the main examination.
IBPS RRB Interview Round
- Candidates who pass the RRB main examination are eligible to appear in an interview.
- The minimum qualifying score for the IBPS RRB interview is 40% (for reserved applicants it is 35%).
- Before attending, candidates should review the interview preparation recommendations offered by toppers and experts.
- Candidates are chosen based on an 80:20 split of mains and interviews.
- Candidates who pass the interview are chosen for the provisional allocation process.
- Following the interview, a composite score is calculated, which includes the sum of the marks received in the main examination and the interview.
IBPS RRB Exam Pattern
IBPS administers a two-stage written exam for Officer Scale-I and Office Assistant positions, but only one written test for Officer Scale-II and III.
Candidates applying for Officer level positions must attend an interview round before being selected. There is no interview going to be conducted for the Office Assistant posts.
- The exam will take place in CBT mode.
- In case of incorrect response ¼ mark be deducted as penalty.
Selection will be based only on the applicant’s performance in the IBPS RRB Mains Examination. Every wrong response noted by the candidate will result in a 0.25 point penalty. The examination will be objective in character.
IBPS RRB 2022 Result
After conducting tests for each stage for both Assistant and Officer Grade Posts, the result for IBPS RRB Office Assistant and Officer Grade Posts will be released on the official website of IBPS.
