  • The UPSC computes the score using the procedure outlined below:
  • The UPSC will compute candidates’ scores using the following formula:
  • One mark for each right answer.
  • For each wrong response, one-third of a point will be removed as a negative marking.
  • If candidates mark more than one choice, this will be considered an incorrect response, and negative marks will be assigned.
  • The overall score of the CDS result will be generated based on the correct and erroneous replies of the candidates.
