WB ANM GNM Result 2022 – How is rank awarded?

The WB ANM GNM 2022 Result is available in the form of a Rank Card. It includes all pertinent rankings and scores. To safeguard the secrecy of each individual applicant, the Board never releases a rank list. All candidates who take the test will be given rank cards with their marks. However, not everyone may be assigned a rank and so be ineligible for counselling, for which the board will determine a cut off rank and/or a cut off score.

General Merit Rank

  • The rank must be known and styled as ‘GMR’ (General Merit Rank).
  • The General Merit Rank (GMR) sequence will be determined depending on the marks earned.
  • The ranking will be done in decreasing order of marks earned. Tiebreaker rules apply in the event of a tie.

Category Rank

  • Separate reserved category merit places will also be displayed for appropriate student categories, such as SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PWD Rank, and so on.
  • The sequence of counselling/seat allocation/admission shall be determined solely by GMR (not on category ranks). Category rankings are only available to candidates in the corresponding categories.
  • Although category rankings are created based on the category information provided by applicants during the online application process, documents are validated by the designated Institutes during counselling. As a result, the candidate’s certificates/documents/proofs must be current as of the day of verification. If any candidate’s claim is determined to be invalid during verification, his/her category rank will be deleted, and the candidate will be evaluated in the general category. Other candidates’ category rankings will not be changed.
